Checkatrade Let Us Down

We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to discover us a reliable contractor for our renovation project. We joined and advertised our requirements, but unfortunately, we were left abandoned at sea.

  • The few quotes we did receive were unrealistic.
  • Adding insult to injury, their customer service was abysmal.

We are incredibly disappointed with Checkatrade and would urge using their website. There are much better alternatives out there. We feel sorry for having wasted our resources on this ineffective service.

Checkatrade Left Us High and Dry, Where's the Remedy?

We trusted Checkatrade to connect us with qualified tradespeople. Little did we know we were walking into a shambles.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade puts the emphasis on their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

It all starts check here with their sneaky costs, which they hide in the fine print. Then, there's the terrible support that's about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to raise an issue, but it's like pulling teeth.

So, avoid them like the plague of Checkatrade if you value your money.

Is Checkatrade a Scam?

We thought we were doing the right thing by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so trustworthy with their qualified traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

First, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and provided a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up getting ripped off by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling angry and would definitely not recommend Checkatrade for your tradesman needs.

They Paid, But Never Saw the Project: Checkatrade Disaster.

My rundown with Checkatrade became a total disaster. I engaged a trader through their service to complete some essential home repairs. They appeared legitimate at first, but it resulted in a terrible ordeal.

Even though I paid the full amount upfront, the work completely vanished into thin air. Contact became impossible. It's been months, and I'm still left with a house in disarray.

The platform itself has been useless throughout this whole process. They laughed at my plight. It feels like I've been scammed.
